Easy Care Guide for Growing Charming Daffodils

Choose firm, healthy daffodil bulbs in the fall. Plant them about 6 inches deep and 4-6 inches apart for best results.

Daffodils prefer well-drained soil and full to partial sun. Avoid areas where water tends to collect to prevent bulb rot.

After blooming, don’t cut daffodil leaves immediately. Allow the foliage to die back naturally, as it feeds the bulb for next year’s flowers. Remove spent blooms to prevent seed formation. Keep watering until the leaves turn yellow and wilt, then stop. Avoid braiding or tying the leaves—it hinders photosynthesis. Apply a balanced fertilizer after flowering to support bulb strength.
